My Favorite…Steak Marinade

I’m trying something new on the blog – adding some of my favorite recipes.  Chad and I love trying new recipes.  He is allowed to be honest about them, and I don’t take it personally if they aren’t a hit.  So here is my first one.  We don’t cook steak very often, because frankly I’d rather have a burger, but we bought a beef bundle from a friend and cooked up some Delmonico steaks last night.  Chad asked me to find a marinade or rub, and I tried this one.  It was so easy, and so yummy!!  This will now be our go-to steak marinade.

Emeril’s Grilled Cowboy Steak from Foodnetwork.com

2 ½ Tbsp Paprika
2 Tbsp Salt
2 Tbsp Garlic Powder
1 Tbsp Black Pepper
1 Tbsp Onion Powder
1 Tbsp Cayenne Pepper
1 Tbsp Dried Leaf Oregano
1 Tbsp Dried Thyme

Mix all the ingredients.  Then mix equal parts of the dry mix and vegetable oil (or any oil you want to use).  You only need to use one spoonful for each side of each steak.  This is a strong marinade, a little goes a long way!  Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.  When you serve the steak, sprinkle it with some Worcestershire sauce.  Enjoy!
