I’ve had a sore throat for a while now, but with chronic sinusitis this is a common occurrence and not cause for alarm. But yesterday my voice started getting raspy, and now today it is at about 10%. Ruh-roh. Naturally, my kids are home from school today for Presidents’ Day.
My kids are behaving the way they always do: having fun, playing the Wii, deeply involved in their land of make-believe. Today my tolerance for baby voices and cat sounds is greatly diminished by not feeling well and poor sleep for multiple nights. So I have retreated to my bedroom with my laptop, cell phone, and coffee. Here’s where the problem lies — they can’t hear me.
I’m just going to stick with this plan for now. There are no injuries so far, I may have to alter the plan should they arise. Maybe we’ll all go to our own bedrooms? Maybe I’ll throw on a stocking hat and run to the nearest Redbox? Who knows. I do know I’m thankful to not have a small child who has to be supervised at all times.
They can go potty on their own. They can get snacks on their own. I’d say we’re good til lunch. :)[subscribe2]
