So my husband’s in IT. Well actually, he’s an IT Director. I’m proud of him. But that’s not the point of this one.
No the point of this one is technology. I just bought a lovely calendar to go in my purse, but then I had to buy a bigger purse to accommodate said calendar. That’s…. embarrassing. BUT you moms know what I’m talking about here with the calendar – pediatrician appointments, eye doctor appointments, dentist appointments, hair cuts, school activities – I need one honkin’ calendar!
I visited Chad at work the other day, and we’re having dinner with one of his co-workers. I pulled out my calendar to figure out when we can, and the mocking began. Mind you, there are now TWO IT Directors in the room, with their big Droids, and 4 computers on each desk. It got a little excessive. I told them (in my best Ada ‘tude) that I didn’t have to pay a monthly fee for a data plan with my calendar, and I gave Chad the “you better knock it off” look. With love and respect of course.
I don’t need a map (I have a GPS in the car), a baseball game, trivia games, 24-7 access to the internet, I just need a phone and a calendar, and I’m fine with those being 2 separate items in my new awesome green purse.
Aw honey, I love the fact that you love your analog calendar.
PS: TB had an iPhone, he would be very upset if he knew you called it a Droid.
PPS: Lovingly posted via my DROID Incredible which includes a nifty calendar 😀
I am SOOOO with you! I LOVE my paper pencil method and have no desire to switch. I love my – phone and calendar. That's all I need too 🙂 You go girl!!! I could just feel your tude!!!
Chad – you crack me up. Janna – love the "real" calendar in your purse.
